Wiehag was awarded first place in the category "Sustainability & Greentech" at this year's EY Entrepreneur of the Year ™ Awards.

CEO and owner of the company, Erich Wiesner, who leads the successful family company in the fifth generation, received the renowned award for the innovative and sustainable orientation of WIEHAG. As an overall winner, he will also represent Austria at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2025 in Monaco.

"This award is a confirmation of our strategy to advance timber construction worldwide and to establish sustainable construction methods at a global level," says Wiesner. "Our team works with enthusiasm on pioneering projects that impress their outstanding engineering performance and also contribute to the decarbonization of the construction industry."

WIEHAG is internationally known for extraordinary projects such as the world's highest wood-hybrid building, the Ascent Tower in Milwaukee, the new, iconic World of Volvo in Gothenburg and the largest wooden building in Asia at the Nanyang University in Singapore. These projects illustrate the leading role of the company in the area of ​​sustainable engineering.

The Ey Entrepreneur of the Year Award recognizes entrepreneurship personalities that have successfully established companies through innovation and sustainable business models. WIEHAG has made the vision of combining sustainable architecture with the latest timber construction technology a global pioneer in engineering.
