WCTE 2025
Brisbane
Engineering excellence
on the world stage
From June 22 to 25, WIEHAG Timber Construction will attend the World Conference on Timber Engineering (WCTE) in Brisbane – the global meeting point for structural timber innovation.
Our team on site: Patric Walter, Philipp Holzhaider, Markus Eisenmann and Jane Lindsay. Together, they bring WIEHAG’s expertise in engineered timber systems, large-span structures and high-performance connections into the global conversation on sustainable construction.
Highlight: On June 24, Patric Walter will give a technical talk in the session Material Performance & Durability / Structural Performance.
Topic: “New dimensions – Timber projects and connections”
The presentation explores how connection design defines what is possible in modern timber engineering – featuring three projects:
– The architectural landmark World of Volvo (Gothenburg)
– The large-scale Edeka logistics centre (Marktredwitz)
– A multi-storey office complex for a Bundesliga football club (Leipzig)
At WIEHAG, we engineer timber construction that redefines limits – structurally, ecologically and architecturally. WCTE is where this ambition meets the international timber community.
