Erdberger Steg

A standing "W" on the water: At almost 90 metres long, the Erdberger Steg is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge that created a long-awaited additional crossing over the Danube Canal between the Rotunden bridge and the Stadium bridge and which connects the 3rd district with the Prater recreation area.
The support structure consists of a glued laminated timber construction made of domestic larch. The foundations and abutments were made using in-situ concrete – the secondary beams of the deck, the suspensions, the railings and the masts are made of steel.
