WIEHAG’s success story is closely linked to its ties to the region and its commitment to Upper Austria as a business location. Through significant investment, Erich Wiesner has developed the WIEHAG Campus in Altheim into an internationally recognised centre of excellence for timber construction and established the company as a leading player in timber engineering. Today, WIEHAG is one of the region’s most important employers, providing secure jobs and long-term prospects for employees and their families.

His commitment to succession planning is another example of his entrepreneurial foresight. For several years, the Wiesner family has been carefully preparing the transition of the family business to the sixth generation, represented by his son Valentin.
