Spotlight: Competence in trade fair buildings As early as 1966, WIEHAG set a milestone in the history of constructional engineering with timber, the Trade Fair Building in Klagenfurt/Austria. A span of 100 m was bridged to create what was the largest timber building in Europe at that time with a floor space of 7,200 m². Numerous reference buildings followed: New Trade Fair Karlsruhe/Germany, Trade Fair Building Freistadt/Austria, Salzburgarena/Austria and the new Trade Fair Centre Wels/Austria. The latest issue of Look, it’s wood is dedicated to these architecturally and technically challenging timber buildings that WIEHAG created over the last 40 years. |
