WIEHAG GmbH is headquartered in Altheim, Upper Austria, and has over
160 years of experience in timber construction. Founded in 1849 as a small carpentry shop, WIEHAG is now one of the leading providers of bearing systems, roofs, glulam products, panels and boards. With around 300 employees, WIEHAG GmbH generates annual sales of roughly € 68 million, with an export rate of around 64 percent. WIEHAG GmbH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of WIEHAG Holding GmbH, which is also the parent company of WIEHAG Hoch-Tiefbau GmbH & Co KG.
The eco2building GmbH - operating buildings with passive house standards - is a subsidiary of WIEHAG GmbH (45 percent).
1. Timber engineering
In the field of timber engineering, WIEHAG is one of Europe's leading providers for wide-span bearing systems and complete roof systems for exhibition centres, sports and leisure centres, industrial halls, warehouses, production halls, logistics centres, commercial and office buildings, multi-purpose halls, bridges and special buildings and structures.
2. Wood systems
In the Wood.Systems segment for indoor and outdoor construction, WIEHAG produces glulam for factory-assembled bearing system solutions and individual components, Profidec (a ready-to-assemble glulam system for roofs, ceilings and walls), 3-layer natural wood boards and formwork panels.
